This “About” section focuses on Why rather than who–as most of you know me so you neither need nor want to read a self-promotion, and those who do not know me could not care less “about” who I am.
Why? I initiated this Word Press if only to provide an outlet for my prior submissions so often ignored, rejected and otherwise shredded by the tactile world of the ever-shrinking printed press.
So why burden my friends with my musings? To paraphrase the age-old question (‘does a falling tree in the forest make a sound if no one is present to hear it?’): If a piece has been authored and no one has read it, has it really been written? Hopefully, my words won’t crash in destruction like the sound from a large tree falling in the forest in the presence of witnesses.
Why PoorRichardsExcuse? Old Ben Franklin remains a timeless sage whose aphorisms in Poor Richard’s Almanac still ring true today (my personal favorite–“experience is the teacher of fools”–as I have too often sat aboard old Ben’s lap learning my lessons).
The within Word Press—never a blog which sounds of upchucked regurgitation–should have been initiated long ago, the “excuse” hooked upon a proud claim of of technological ignorance. No longer. Now downloaded musings can be hoisted upon friends who hopefully spread the word about this moribund site.
Of course, if you dislike this Word Press, just take a gander at the logo, and “Go Fly a Kite!”
